What Our Clients Say About Us

The Mustard Tree seems quite organised, and this has helped me. The other places I have lived did not feel as organised, so to speak.

The staff are friendly and professional (not too professional ‘cause they are easy to get on with but professional enough) and they listen.  The way they have set things up makes me feel like I am learning the skills to look after my own place – they even employ this guy, Alfie who does maintenance and stuff and he has taught me how to put up shelves.  It’s good that he’s around a lot and lets you have a go at D.I.Y.

I feel kinda safe knowing the staff are around – I don’t feel like staff are in my face but they are around enough for me and they have really helped me with stuff since I came out of hospital – I have enough space to myself to do my own thing but staff are there for me when I need them.

I don’t want to live in a Mustard Tree house forever, but it is good for me for now, sort of a stepping stone, and I think I’ll be ready for my own flat having lived here for a while. The staff also helped and encouraged me to continue to explore my faith, which is important to me, and helped me find out where the local churches are – I’ve found one I like and go to every week.

I really feel like I am getting my life together and I’ve started a catering course at college, which is where this photo was taken, and I know that the Mustard Tree Project staff will always work closely with other people such as my care team.  As I said, they are organised to make stuff happen and I think I am going to do really well."
