What is The Mustard Tree Project?
Our History:
The Mustard Tree Project
is an initiative of Heartlands Church, Stratford-upon-Avon. We established
the project in 1990, in response to
the move towards "Care in the Community", with the aim of providing
support to adults recovering from mental health issues.
Our Mission:
To support those in need in our community by providing quality
support services and accommodation that promote independence.
Our
Philosophy:
The Mustard Tree Project is a Heartlands Church initiative.
As such, The Mustard Tree Project works to an underlying Christian
ethic as set out in Heartland's Trust Deed. The Mustard Tree Project
sets out to reflect this Christian position in all of its dealings
with staff, clients and the general public. However, The
Mustard Tree Project does not discriminate against those persons
whose beliefs are different to ours.
We offer a
"person centred" approach to working with each client,
recognising their strengths, needs, difficulties, hopes and
intentions, responding in a sensitive and non judgmental way as
underpinned by our Christian ethic.
The key ethos of the The Mustard Tree Project is one of openness, honesty and co-operation
between clients and those they live with and relate to.

Our Objectives:
To enable our clients to come into a more secure place where
physically, emotionally and mentally they are able to tackle life in
the world more confidently.
To enable our clients to gain full time employment / education.
To enable our clients to acquire permanent accommodation and to live
independently.
